With a Little Help From My Friends

Last spring, my two friends Stacey (of Bean and Noodle), and Emma (of Ferret and Fern) founded SheCreatesUnion and invited me to join. The mission of the group is to support women makers at all stages of their creative journey. It’s a great idea and I’m so happy to be a part of it.

Fast forward to today and I am four days away from sharing a booth with my pals at Elgin’s Hogeye Festival for the first time. It’s exciting and scary, but as a team, it’s easier to take the leap.

I’ve been weaving and sewing like crazy for the last few weeks. Here’s a preview of some of the things I’ll have at the booth.

Lots of towels, including these in fall colors.

Some zipper bags from handwoven fabric (some still under construction).

These shawls and towels from the same warps.

Come see us if you’re in the area, and follow us on Instagram (SheCreatesUnion) so you can see what we are up to.
